Kristof Analysis

I believe that Kristof’s main claim is that guns should be regulated to reduce the amount of annual deaths by firearm. Kristof also claims that regulations such as limiting gun purchases and magazine sizes will reduce the number of fatalities if a shooting is to occur. Kristof claims that by imposing on gun sales the amount of firearms to national deaths ratio will go down.

One main form of evidence that Kristoff used was statistical evidence that would improve his ethos. Another form of evidence Kristoff used is an anecdote referring to Australia’s gun control.

Kristoff uses a strong ethical appeal to persuade his audience that guns should be more regulated to decrease the amount of mass murders and deaths in the nation.
